Daily Oddities and Miracles, a book of poetry by Peter Conn – a French consultant with the Lakeshore School Board until he was forced into early retirement due to multiple sclerosis – will be launched on Thursday November 15 at the Lester B. Pearson School Board (LBPSB) in Dorval.
Although retired, Conn spent much of his time devoted to painting, photography and poetry. He died in September of this year.
“With courage, skill tenacity, the poet brings true emotion to his reader – as he does in the poem ‘Sleep’, which promises, seeks and delivers what it takes to face live as it is,” according to Hudson-based poet Jon Torell.
The public book launch, which takes place from 5 to 7 p.m. at the LBPSB located at 1925 Brookdale Ave. in Dorval.
The book, published by the Shoreline Press, is also available for sale through Shoreline at 514-457-5733.
