St. Lawrence Academy celebrates 4th Annual Art Expo

As part the school’s visual arts program, Saint Lawrence Academy is celebrating our fourth annual Art Expo on Thursday, May 23rd from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Friday, May 24th from 9 a.m. to noon in the gymnasium of the Senior Campus (1555 Rancourt, LaSalle).

Entitled Archi-Expo, this is an exploration of art in our everyday environment, our city, and our community through studies of famous architects and buildings.

Over 1000 works of art done by the students of both Junior (Kdg. to Grade 2) and Senior (Grades 3 to 6) campuses will be on display. This year’s works of art include paintings, drawings, sculpture, sampleboards, photography and more. In addition there will be a silent auction of photographs taken by staff members and “painted” and decorated chairs done by groups of students.

This art exhibition has become an important annual event in our school community, with an opportunity for each individual student to explore the visual arts, with an emphasis on architecture this year, and share what they have learned with their families and friends.
