NEW DELHI — Un autre membre de la célèbre dynastie des Gandhi accède à un poste majeur dans la politique indienne.

Rahul Gandhi devient président du parti du Congrès, succédant ainsi à sa mère Sonia Gandhi.

Agé de 47 ans, il est fils, petit-fils et arrière petit-fils d’anciens premiers ministres indiens.

Rahul Gandhi sera le principal adversaire du premier ministre Narendra Modi lorsque celui-ci tentera d’obtenir un second mandat de 5 ans aux élections de 2019.
