Gladys Knight chantera l’hymne national

NEW YORK — Gladys Knight interprétera «The Star-Spangled Banner» lors du prochain Super Bowl.

La septuple gagnante d’un prix Grammy a déclaré de son domicile d’Atlanta être fière d’utiliser sa voix pour «unifier et représenter notre pays».

La chanteuse de 74 ans et son groupe The Pips ont été intronisés au Temple de la renommée du rock and roll en 1996. «Midnight Train to Georgia» et «That’s What Friends Are For» sont deux de ses plus grands succès.

Maroon 5 assurera le spectacle de la mi-temps, en compagnie de Big Boi, du rapper d’Atlanta Outkast, ainsi que de Travis Scott.

Le Super Bowl sera présenté au Mercedes-Benz Stadium d’Atlanta, le 3 février.
