Les Rolling Stones ont fait vibrer des centaines de milliers de personnes vendredi soir à l’aréna de la Ciudad Deportiva, à La Havane, à l’occasion d’un spectacle historique gratuit. Les légendes du rock britannique sont en effet les premiers à avoir donné un concert d’envergure à Cuba depuis la révolution de 1959.
Mick Jagger et ses acolytes Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood, Charlie Watts, et le bassiste Darryl Jones ont débuté leur concert sur Jumpin’ Jack Flash avant d’enchaîner une vingtaine de leurs grands classiques tels que It’s Only Rock ‘n Roll, Sympathy for the devil, Angie, Paint it black avant de conclure sur les notes de la célèbre Satisfaction.
Ce concert – surprise – concluait la tournée America latina Olé des Rolling Stones qui a débuté le 3 février à Santiago au Chili. Le groupe a donné des représentations dans 9 villes d’Amérique latine notamment à Mexico City, à Rio de Janeiro au Brésil, à Buenos Aires en Argentine ou encore à Lima au Pérou.
Le groupe est arrivé à La Havane, deux jours après la fin de la visite officielle de Barack Obama – la première d’un président américain à Cuba en 88 ans.
