Ville LaSalle party joins Projet Montréal

Officers and several members of the Ville LaSalle party decided to rally with the Projet Montréal party. It was a decision that Richard Bergeron was delighted with. Bergeron is leader of Projet Montréal.

Until the party’s recent dissolution, Ville LaSalle party leader Francisco Moreno was the great architect of this alliance. “I have been interested in Projet Montréal for a long time. The party has proven their merit, has demonstrated its respect for democracy and for transparency, and upholding fundamental values for me and for all members of the Ville LaSalle party. To me, Projet Montréal has a clear vision, pursuing visionary and equitable development for all Montrealers. By rallying with them, we hope to contribute to the goals of this wonderful project and we shall continue to listen to the needs of LaSalle residents. We will be part of a team that will truly represent us in Montreal. I invite everyone sharing this mutual desire to better serve Montreal residents to join us in this effort”, he said.

“The members of the Ville LaSalle party are people who are involved in their community, who are familiar with local issues and challenges, and who vigorously carry out their responsibilities. It will give us great pleasure to work with them in consolidating the reputation of the party in the Borough”, said Beatriz Guarin, a long time militant for Projet Montréal in LaSalle.

Richard Bergeron said, “this partnership is very good news indeed for Projet Montréal and for the residents of LaSalle; it demonstrates the power of attraction that Projet Montréal holds for people in Montreal, both as much for the former suburbs as for the central districts. Projet Montréal is sensitive to the needs of each Borough. It has become increasingly clear that it is the only Pan-Montreal alternative to Gérald Tremblay’s party, and that the winds of change will take us to the 2013 election.”
