VERDUN, DORVAL and CÔTE-DES-NEIGES–NOTRE-DAME-DE-GRÂCE win Renaissance Challenge
Renaissance (the non-profit organization) held its annual Spring Challenge from April 22 to May 19. Fifteen municipalities in the Greater Montreal were in the running.
In all, 890 295 pounds of clothing and other household goods were collected and have been diverted from landfill sites during this period. Verdun wins the prize for the largest number of donations collected and for the sixth consecutive time the City of Dorval wins for the highest number donations collected per 1000 residents.
The biggest increase in participation is attributed to the borough of Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce, with 37.23 % more donations collected!
