Jeunesse-2000 renovates its buildings

Jeunesse-2000, the service centre for the Maison de jeunesse of Bordeaux-Cartierville had a great need to refresh its building. The floors were redone and the walls repainted last summer with the help of young people. On October 27, at a presentation of the renovated areas, Luc Chulak, director of the organization explained that there is still work to be done. In the kitchen, the ceiling and the hand wash basin needs to be changed. The purchase of new furniture is also being considered. Once finished, the costs will be $15,000. Work was possible thanks to the proceeds obtained at the 15th birthday of Maison de jeunesse. The borough also contributed to finance the transformation of the decaying buildings. (V.L./M.B.)
