A social science student at Vanier College was recognized for her academic and athletic performance with a $3,000 bursary from the Quebec Foundation for Athletic Excellence (FAEQ) and Golf Québec last week.

Golfer Rose Morissette won four Circuit Régional Junior (CRJ) golf tournaments for athletes age 11-18 this year, and came in sixth place in the Graham Cooke Invitational Tournament as well as the Classique Optimiste Assante. The 17-year-old is a member of Le Blainvillier Golf Club.

“Our bursary recipients are stand outs, both on the golf course and in the classroom. They work hard every day to reach the pinnacle in both their sport and their studies,” said Marcel Paul Raymond, President of Golf Québec, in a release.

The collaboration between the FAEQ and Golf Québec was created to highlight the importance of succeeding both at the books and on the greens.
