Culinary creativeness
There are many ways of getting the population aware of healthy eating. The Ahuntsic-Cartierville éco-district decided to do its part by organizing food workshops. On November 24, ten people took part in a creative culinary activity at restaurant Le Festigoût de la Corbeille Bordeaux-Cartierville. It was in groups of five that the apprentice cooks prepared a gastronomic meal with the help of ingredients that were included in a surprise basket. Teamwork was needed in order to cook, with originality, the chicken thighs, acorn squash, potatoes, parsnip, carrots, turnips and broccolis. Only one ingredient was obligatory: apples. (V.L./M.B.)
