Hélène LeBlanc welcomes the new citizens of LaSalle-Émard

Mrs. LeBlanc, Member of Parliament for LaSalle-Émard, met over 100 residents of her riding who obtained their Canadian citizenship during the period of 2012-2013. The event took place on May 15th, at the reception hall Buffet Il Gambiano.

The participants who celebrated their Canadian citizenship with Mrs. LeBlanc came from all over the world and chose to make LaSalle-Émard their home. ‘‘I am delighted to be a Member of Parliament for a riding that is rich by its cultural diversity’’. Canada and Quebec are renowned for being welcoming places. At the May 15th event, AIRSOM Centre Prisme, an organisaton that helps new Canadians and newcomers integrate into their adoptive society, presented their offered services and activities.

Mrs. LeBlanc reminded the audience that she and her team are at the service of the community. “I want to thank all of those who responded to my invitation and the volunteers that helped make the event a success.
