PARIS — Une puissante tempête accompagnée de vents violents a balayé l’ouest de l’Europe mercredi, faisant un mort et 15 blessés en France.
Un skieur est décédé à Morillon, en Haute-Savoie, après avoir été frappé par un arbre, a rapporté le ministère français de l’Intérieur.
Quinze personnes ont aussi été blessées à travers le pays, dont quatre sérieusement, a ajouté le Ministère.
Les services d’urgence français ont rapporté 4300 incidents liés à la tempête, qui a également privé d’électricité quelque 200 000 foyers, dont 30 000 dans la région parisienne.
La tempête, dont les vents ont atteint 160 kilomètres à l’heure, a aussi perturbé les transports et provoqué des pannes de courant en Suisse, en Allemagne et au Royaume-Uni.
