Making the climb for research in cardiology
From April 14 to May 4, 13 staff members from Sacré-Coeur Hospital will take part in climbing Island Peak, an important summit in the Everest valley, in Nepal. Organized by the hospital’s Foundation, the expedition aims to raise $100,000 for the Jean-Jacques-Gauthier Cardio-Respiratory Rehabilitation Centre, located at the YMCA-Cartierville. “At the Foundation, we want to promote the research area more and more,” said Michel Bourgeois, president of the Sacré-Coeur Hospital Foundation. “It is often forgotten that Sacré-Coeur is a research centre affiliated with the University of Montreal. It is necessary to boast about the research staff. This activity will make it possible to do so.” For more details: www.alarecherchedunsommet.org (V.L./M.B.)
