Hema Quebec and the LCCHS Partner Up

L.C.C.H.S. held its first ever Blood Drive on April 24th, 2013 in the LCCHS school gym (9th avenue). The Blood Drive was one of the many Community and Service Projects that are initiated by LCCHS students in the International Program (IB). The blood drive was run by the secondary 4 IB students in conjunction with Hema Quebec.

As recruiters, the students became well read on the subject of blood donation and its significance in life preservation. The goal was to give back to the community and instill a sense of responsibility for the well being of others.

As usual, the LCCHS and LaSalle community came together and totaled more than 120 blood donors. The L.C.C.H.S. students and staff worked diligently throughout the afternoon and night to ensure success. “I couldn’t be more proud of the efforts and professionalism displayed by LCCHS students, well done!”, said Ms.Intrevado, the IB community and service coordinator. LCCHS is anxious to begin next year’s blood drive.
