Dorval Turns Off Its Lights During Earth Hour

The City of Dorval invites its residents and businesses to turn off their lights for a period of one hour, starting at 8:30 p.m., on Saturday, March 29, as a contribution to Earth Hour 2014.

The City will turn off all non-essential lights in its facilities as it joins thousands of other cities around the world that will do the same on March 29. The goal is to increase awareness about the importance of taking energy-saving actions as a way of fighting against global warming.

Last year, hundreds of millions of people and thousands of businesses in some 7,000 cities in more than 150 countries turned off their lights for one hour as part of the event.
