New Hydro meters: Dorval passed a resolution asking Quebec to impose a moratorium

The City of Dorval passed a resolution asking the Government of Quebec to impose a moratorium on their territory. The resolution shows that Dorval is taking this issue very seriously and is concerned for their citizens well being.

A great number of citizens hope that other municipalities will follow the example of Dorval. Monday night citizens of LaSalle and Villeray asked the elected officials in Montreal City Hall to adopt such a resolution.They were told that the matter would be studied if it appeared that more citizens were concerned.

It seems the controversy regarding the question of smart meters is not about to end. More groups of citizens apposing these meters are adding their voices to those already well know such as Villeray Refuse and Laval Refuse as the deployment is gaining ground.

In Lachine such a group obtained the support of the mayor Claude Dauphin in organizing a second information session which will take place tonight (Thursday, March 21) at 7 p.m. at Lachine City Hall 1800 St. Joseph Blvd.
