Buildings between five and eight apartments will be able to participate in organic waste collection in Saint-Laurent this autumn.

The 240 litre brown bins and countertop bins will be distributed by default to residential buildings with five-to-eight apartments. The large bins are to be shared by residents, much like the waste bins.

Each dwelling will receive a countertop bin with a starter kit containing sample brown bags and information brochures.

The service is already available for buildings of four homes or less. Residents who wish to receive a smaller bin for exclusive use can make a demand online at ville.montreal.qc.ca/saint-laurent or by telephone 514 855-6212 until May 8.
